The Building of Stone's Prairie Market
Samuel Stone came to this area in 1822. Stone's Prairie, the town, was founded Jan 29, 1856. It stayed that name until July 3rd 1889 when it was changed to Plainville. We loved the name Stone's Prairie and Kevin designed the store building to be as close to an 1800's building as possible. He used recycled lumber and took great care to preserve our heritage and still meet the ever present health codes.
Many of our friends and neighbors helped with this project.
