Stone’s Prairie Market is located in Plainville, Illinois, and is family owned and operated by Kevin and Krista Manard. Their daughter Sarah operates the bakery.
We fashioned Stone’s Prairie Market after an 1800’s general store to help introduce you to an organic lifestyle. We became interested in this type of living because of several severe food allergies in the family, causing us to explore gardening, cooking everything from scratch, raising our own herbs, and generally using time tested ways of doing things.
Products
Supplements:
We carry many types of nutritional supplements, including many Now Foods products. We can special order many items, including small quantity orders.
Foods:
We carry all kinds of organic and natural food products. We have nuts, dried fruit, Italian chocolate, gelato, sorbet, organic soda, honey, sorghum; maple syrup, and candy; as well as many bulk food items including popcorn, coconut, oats, wheat berries, and seasonal produce.
Pet Supplies:
We also carry several lines of natural pet supplies like organic shampoos, treats, and pet supplements. Coming soon: Natural dog food.
Health Care Products:
We have many natural health care items including organic shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and foot and hand care.
Baked Goods:
We operate a bakery that sells fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, coffee cakes, and a variety of other items. Most of the ingredients we use are organic and many of the recipes are heritage recipes. On Wednesdays we bake completely gluten free!
